Shah Rukh Khan unveils new ‘King’ poster

Shah Rukh Khan has unveiled a new poster for his upcoming action thriller King, showing the Bollywood star in a rugged look that combines a gun-toting assassin’s image with a romantic touch.

Released on Tuesday, October 27, the poster features Khan wearing a fitted leather trench coat and a black shirt, holding a gun with a thorny rose stem between his teeth. A fiery backdrop adds to the dramatic look.

The poster carries the caption, “Aaj phir yaad aaya… Qaatil nahi… Aashiq hoon…” which translates to, “Today I remembered again… I’m not a killer, I’m a lover.”

The line highlights the romantic side of Khan’s character despite his dangerous appearance in the film.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, King reunites the filmmaker with Khan following their 2023 action blockbuster Pathaan.

The film also stars Khan’s daughter, Suhana Khan, alongside Deepika Padukone and Abhishek Bachchan. Jaideep Ahlawat, Abhay Verma and Arshad Warsi are also part of the cast.

The story is by Sujoy Ghosh, who was initially attached to direct the film. The screenplay has been written by Anand, Ghosh, Suresh Nair and Sagar Pandya, while Abbas Tyrewala has penned the dialogues.

Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, King has generated interest through its teaser and dialogue promo. The latest poster offers another look at Khan’s character ahead of the film’s release.
