Govt reduces petrol, diesel prices for fifth straight day
The federal government has reduced the price of petrol by Rs6.59 per litre and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs4.25, marking the fifth consecutive reduction in petroleum prices.
The latest cuts follow reductions announced on Thursday, when petrol became cheaper by Rs9.41 per litre and diesel by Rs5.56.
The government has been revising petroleum prices daily in response to developments in the Middle East, while keeping rates unchanged on Saturdays and Sundays.
The latest revision brings further relief to consumers amid persistent economic challenges and fluctuations in global oil markets.
