Six militants killed in Balochistan’s Kachhi operation

At least six militants were killed in an intelligence-based operation in the Sanni area of Kachhi district, Balochistan, under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3, security sources said on Thursday.

The militants affiliated with Fitna Al Hindustan were successfully targeted using quadcopters, the sources said, adding that a large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the militants.

Security forces also conducted a clearance operation in the area to eliminate any remaining militants.

Separately, security forces destroyed several hideouts and tunnels used by militants in an intelligence-based operation in the North Waziristan border area.

A large quantity of explosives was recovered during the operation and subsequently neutralised with the assistance of the Bomb Disposal Squad.

There were also reports of several militants being killed during the operation.

Security forces said they remained committed to eliminating terrorism across the country under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision.
