Govt cuts petrol, diesel prices for fourth consecutive day
The federal government on Thursday reduced the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) for the fourth consecutive day, announcing cuts of Rs9.41 and Rs5.56 per litre, respectively, effective November 6, 2026.
Following the latest revision, petrol will cost Rs352.59 per litre, down from Rs362, while the price of diesel has been reduced to Rs382.25 from Rs387.81.
The revised ex-depot prices were announced in a press release issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
The regulator said the prices were revised under the petroleum pricing mechanism approved by the federal government.

The latest reduction follows cuts announced on Wednesday, when petrol became cheaper by Rs7.06 per litre and diesel by Rs3.71.
On Tuesday, the government reduced the price of petrol by Rs5.45 per litre to Rs369.06 and diesel by Rs3.68 to Rs391.52.
A day earlier, on Monday, petrol became cheaper by Rs3.40 per litre to Rs374.51, while the price of diesel was reduced by Rs7.76 to Rs395.20.
The government has been revising petroleum prices daily in response to developments in the Middle East, while keeping rates unchanged on Saturdays and Sundays.
Global oil prices
International oil prices rose on Thursday as investors assessed the outlook for the US-Israeli war with Iran following heavy midterm election losses for US President Donald Trump’s Republican Party.
Brent crude futures rose $2.19, or 2.3%, to $96.81 per barrel as of 1255 GMT, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures gained $1.32, or 1.5%, to $89.44 per barrel.
The government’s petroleum price adjustments are linked to international market movements and take into account Platts rates, premiums and other incidental costs, according to the Petroleum Division.
