Salman Sharif has arrived in Berlin to assume his responsibilities as Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Federal Republic of Germany.
He was welcomed and received at the airport by officials of the German Federal Foreign Office, the Deputy Head of Mission (DHM), and other officers of the Embassy of Pakistan, a press release issued on Tuesday said.
Before he departed from Islamabad, Salman Sharif, Ambassador-designate of Pakistan to Germany, called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The deputy prime minister congratulated him on his appointment and underscored the importance of further deepening Pakistan–Germany relations, particularly by expanding economic cooperation and promoting trade and investment.
He also emphasised that close engagement with the Pakistani diaspora in Germany, support for their welfare, and the provision of efficient consular services must remain key priorities for the Embassy.
